Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate a ferry. A ferry is any vessel, including a hovercraft, that is used to carry passengers for payment. Your licence will specify the routes on which you can travel, and the area in which you can operate your ferry.

This licence is not needed for vessels operating charter trips, fishing/underwater diving excursions, or those engaged in emergency operations.
