Fire Brigade Registration - Western Australia

Description

You will require this registration if you intend to operate a fire brigade. All private fire brigades are required to be registered. A fire brigade includes any association formed to prevent and extinguish fires and protect life and property from fire.

All appointments of officers and members of a private brigade must also be approved by the Agency.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

An application for a private fire brigade must be made by the owner of the property from which the brigade will operate.

The landowner must also:

  • undertake to reimburse the Agency all expenditure and costs associated with the brigade
  • pay the annual fee.
