Gas Facility Registration - Western Australia

Description

You will need this registration if you intend to operate a:

  • transmission pipeline
  • storage facility
  • production facility
  • large user facility.

Transmission pipelines supply gas within the gas market or distribute gas outside the gas market. Storage facilities store natural gas for injection into a pipeline. Production facilities produce national gas for injection into one or more pipelines. Large user facilities (such as mines, manufacturers and gas-fired electricity generators) have a capacity of at least ten terajoules per day and are connected to a pipeline or distribution facility.

Registration is needed for each individual facility you intend to operate.
