You will need this licence if you intend to sell and supply alcohol in a hotel or tavern.
Hotel licence holders need to provide accommodation at their premises. Unrestricted and restricted hotel licences are available. Both licences allow liquor to be sold and supplied for consumption on and off the premises, but a restricted licence limits the sale and supply of liquor to be consumed off the premises to hotel lodgers and only in quantities reasonably consumed on that day.
Tavern licence holders do not need to provide accommodation. Unrestricted and restricted tavern licences are available. Both allow liquor to be sold and supplied for consumption on the premises, but a restricted licence does not allow liquor to be sold and supplied for consumption off the premises.
