In-house Electrical Installing Work Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will need this licence if you are not a licensed electrical contractor and intend to carry out electrical installing work other than electrical maintenance work on property that you own, lease or occupy. Electrical installing work consists of assembling and fixing in place, altering or adding to any electrical installation or maintaining, removing or connecting to fixed wiring, any electrical equipment.

You may nominate employees under your licence to enable them to carry on electrical work on your behalf.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you, or at least one nominated employee must:

  • hold a current electrician's licence
  • have completed the following modules from the Electrical Contractor Training Program in the last two years - Operation (Electrical) Legislative Requirements, and Electrical Requirements.
