Individual Firearm Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to use and possess firearms as an individual.

Licences can be issued for one or more purposes, including:

  • hunting
  • competition shooting
  • paintball.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be a fit and proper person
  • provide a 100 point proof of identification
  • provide supporting documentation relevant to the reason you intend to licence a firearm
  • provide a serviceability certificate for each firearm you intend to licence
  • obtain a firearms awareness certificate.
