Description

You will need this licence if you intend to construct, maintain or alter a jetty.

A jetty is a structure used to launch or land a vessel on water. This could include:

  • wharves
  • piers
  • grids
  • landing places
  • ramps
  • fixed or floating structure
  • erected or placed structures.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • show suitable skills in safety of marine navigation
  • provide details on the structural adequacy and suitability of location of the jetty or intended jetty
  • comply with any local planning approvals.

For a licence to be issued in a company name the following will need to be provided:

  • a copy of the company's certificate of Incorporation
  • the names and addresses of the company directors
  • the company's ACN or ABN.
