Lead Risk Work Notification - Western Australia

Description

You will need to notify the agency within seven days if you are a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) at a workplace and you determine that work in the workplace is lead risk work. Lead risk work is work carried out in a lead process that is likely to cause the blood lead level of a worker carrying out the work to exceed:

  • 5 micrograms per decilitre for a female of reproductive capacity
  • 20 micrograms per decilitre for any other case.

A PCBU must immediately remove a worker from carrying out lead risk work if health monitoring results show that the worker's blood lead level is at least:

  • 10 micrograms per decilitre for a female of reproductive capacity
  • 30 micrograms per decilitre for any other case.
