Description

You will need this licence if you intend to construct, alter, operate or maintain a gas distribution system in a supply area in Western Australia. A gas distribution system is a system of pipelines, mains and gas service pipes designed to transport gas to customers.

Your licence will specify the supply area(s) or part of a supply area(s) in which you may operate. A list of supply areas is available on the Agency website.

This licence will authorise you to:

  • construct a distribution system and transport gas through that system
  • transport gas through an existing distribution system and, where needed, make alterations to that system
  • operate and maintain the system.

This licence does not authorise you to sell gas. Please contact the agency for more information.
