Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate a private healthcare facility. Private healthcare facilities include:

  • private hospitals
  • private day hospitals - class A (general anaesthesia)
  • private day hospitals - class B (sedation)
  • private day hospitals - class C (renal)
  • private day hospitals - class D (psychiatric day hospitals)
  • private nursing posts
  • private psychiatric hostels
  • private nursing homes.

To be eligible for this licence as a natural person, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be a person of good character and reputation

  • ensure that all persons involved in the management of the proposed hospital are of good character and reputation
  • have sufficient material and financial resources
