Managed Fishery Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to undertake fishing activities in a managed fishery or interim managed fishery. A managed fishery is an area where a legislative management plan is in place to regulate the fishing of particular species. Each managed fishery will have different rules.

Your licence will specify the managed fishery you are authorised to operate in, and the class of fishing activities you are authorised to undertake. Your licence will also specify the extent of your entitlement, covering such matters as the quantity of fish you may take, and the quantity of fishing gear you may use.
