Model Code of Practice for the Welfare of Animals: Pigs - Western Australia

Description

You may be required to comply with this code if you are responsible for the welfare of pigs in intensive, deep litter or outdoor systems in Western Australia. The code outlines the basic needs of pigs and includes information on:

  • the provision of food and water
  • accommodation
  • husbandry
  • transport and slaughter
  • emergency euthanasia
  • quality assurance systems and record keeping.
