You will require this temporary permit if you are a licensed motor vehicle dealer and you intend to carry on your business from a location that is associated with, or will hold, a special event.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit, you must:

  • detail the special occasion for which a temporary permit is being applied for and why the dealer intends to carry on business on premises in connection with the occasion
  • lodge the application form at least 7 days prior to the special occasion
  • ensure the form is submitted by the holder of a dealer's licence that will be current at the time of the event, a licensed yard manager or the authorised event organiser
  • pay the prescribed fee.
