Pharmaceutical Samples Permit - Western Australia


You will need this licence if you are a pharmaceutical company representative and you intend to store and carry samples to provide to authorised health professionals, such as medical practitioners. You should familiarise yourself with relevant parts of the Medicines and Poisons Regulations 2016 as there are prescribed limits on both the number of samples that can be stored at a premises listed on the permit and the number of samples that can be carried in vehicles.

Samples may be stored at self-lock storage facilities. However, only representatives of the pharmaceutical company can take delivery of or be in possession of samples at a self-lock storage facility. This restriction includes staff of the self-lock storage facility.
