Plastic Shopping Bag Ban - Western Australia

Description

If you are a retailer you must not sell, supply or make available a banned plastic shopping bag to anyone to carry goods you have sold. This extends to online sales. A banned plastic shopping bag:

  • has a thickness of less than 35 microns
  • is made either wholly or partly from plastic, regardless of whether the plastic is degradable, biodegradable or compostable
  • has handles.
