Description

You will need this approval if you intend to carry out a project of research involving:

  • human gametes obtained in the course of an in vitro fertilisation procedure
  • human gametes intended for use in an artificial fertilisation procedure
  • human eggs undergoing fertilisation
  • human embryos
  • any person who is a participant in an artificial fertilisation procedure.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this approval you must:

  • hold an artificial fertilisation practice or storage licence
  • obtain an effective consent and provide counselling for participants.
