Real Estate and Business Agent Licence (Body Corporate) - Western Australia

Description

You will need this licence if your company intends to buy, sell, lease or manage real estate or a business on behalf of a vendor, landlord, purchaser or tenant.

Companies can appoint people to act as their representative provided they:

  • meet all the eligibility requirements for acting as an agent's representative
  • are registered as a representative of the company.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence:

  • the company must have sufficient material and financial resources to operate the business
  • all directors and managers of the company must be of good character and repute
  • each director must hold a current National Police Certificate
  • at least one director must be licensed as a real estate and business agent (where there are more than three directors, at least two of them must be licensed)
  • the person in control of the business must be licensed.

Duration

Three years unless surrendered or cancelled.
