Real Estate and Business Agent Licence (Partnership) - Western Australia

Description

You will need this licence if your partnership intends to buy, sell, lease or manage real estate or a business on behalf of a vendor, landlord, purchaser or tenant.

Partnerships can appoint people to act as their representative provided they:

  • meet all the eligibility requirements for acting as an agent's representative
  • are registered as a representative of the company.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, the partners, directors and / or persons concerned with the management of the partnership must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be a fit and proper person of good character and repute
  • hold a current National Police Certificate
  • have sufficient material and financial resources
  • have the prescribed qualifications or equivalent qualifications.

Where the partnership comprises:

  • three members, at least one member must have a licensed real estate and business agent
  • more than three members, at least two of them must hold a real estate and business agent licence.

Duration

Three years unless surrendered or cancelled.
