Register a Harness Racing Syndicate - Western Australia

Description

You will need this registration to own or lease a harness racing horse as part of a syndicate. A syndicate is any group of eleven or more people who jointly own a harness racing horse. If more than one person but less than eleven people own a horse they will be considered joint owners rather than part of a syndicate.

You must nominate a natural person (not a body corporate) who is a member of the syndicate as the syndicate manager.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible you must:

  • provide the personal details of all the members of the syndicate
  • be a syndicate composed of people over the age of 18
  • not have any members who are undischarged bankrupts or disqualified from racing
  • notify the Agency in writing if any members have been convicted of a criminal offence or an offence under the rules of racing in the last 10 years or have any pending charges.
