Registration as a Combat Sport Contestant - Western Australia

Description

You will need this registration if you intend to compete as a combat sport contestant. Combat sports include boxing or any other martial art, sport or activity where the objective is to strike, kick, hit or grapple with another participant.

Registration is available in the following classes of combat sports:

  • boxing
  • kickboxing
  • muay thai
  • brazilian jujitsu
  • full contact karate
  • mixed martial arts.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration you must:

  • be a fit and proper person
  • have reached the minimum age for the relevant class of combat sport
  • be medically and physically fit to be registered as a contestant in your chosen class
  • understand the duties imposed on you.

If you are registered or licensed in another State, Territory or country, you may be taken to be registered for the purposes of participating in a contest in Western Australia.

3 years unless cancelled or suspended.
