You will need this registration if you intend to specialise in a specific area of veterinary surgery.
You must be assessed and recommended for endorsement by the Advisory Committee on Registration of Veterinary Specialists (ACRVS) as a veterinary specialist before you can lodge your application for registration with the Board.
The full list of specialisations is set out in Schedule 2 of the Regulations. Examples of specialisations include:
- equine surgery
- small animal medicine
- canine medicine
- veterinary dentistry.
