You will need to be registered if you intend to practise as a:

  • honorary veterinary surgeon
  • graduate veterinary surgeon
  • temporary veterinary surgeon
  • non-resident veterinary surgeon
  • full veterinary surgeon.

You are permitted to work in Western Australia as a veterinarian for up to 3 months at any one time if you hold primary registration with an Australian Veterinary Board in the jurisdiction of your principal place of residence.
