You will need this registration if you intend to own stock in Western Australia. All livestock owners within Western Australia must be registered and have their stock identified whether they are kept as pets or for commercial purposes.
The following animals are considered livestock:
- horses (ponies, donkeys, hybrids)
Once your application has been processed, you will be issued with a registration certificate and property identification code (PIC) card. The PIC card will have your registered identifiers (stock brand, earmark and pig tattoo), your brand expiry date and PIC for the properties nominated as where you will run your stock.
