High Risk Work Licence Assessor Registration - Western Australia

Description

You will need this registration if you intend to assess the competency of high risk work (HRW) licence applicants. High risk work includes:

  • Scaffolding - basic, intermediate and advanced.
  • Rigging work - dogging, basic, intermediate and advanced rigging.
  • Crane and hoist operation - tower, self-erecting tower, derrick, portal boom, bridge and gantry, vehicle loading, non slewing mobile, slewing, materials hoist, personnel and materials hoist, boom-type elevating work platform, vehicle mounted concrete placing boom.
  • Forklift operation - forklift trucks, order-picking forklift trucks.
  • Pressure equipment operation - basic, intermediate and advanced boiler operation, turbine operation, reciprocating steam engine operation.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration, you must:

  • have obtained the required qualification in assessment 'Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training
  • hold a current high risk work licence in the required class
  • be able to demonstrate a minimum of 3 years regular, recent, and varied industry experience performing the type of HRW for which accreditation is sought
  • hold an equivalent accreditation from another State or Territory.

If you hold a current equivalent accreditation under a corresponding interstate WHS law, you may request for that accreditation to be recognised in WA.

Duration

Three years unless suspended or cancelled.
