You will need this licence if you intend to manufacture or supply a schedule 9 poison for a prescribed purpose. Prescribed purposes include:
- chemical analysis
- research purposes
- treatment and anaesthesia of exotic animals
- training animals to detect schedule 9 poisons.
Schedule 9 poisons are those currently listed on the Poisons Standard, and include illicit drugs such as:
- heroin
- cannabis
- synthetic cannabinoids
- MDMA.
