Security Sensitive Ammonium Nitrate Supply Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to possess and supply security sensitive ammonium nitrate (SSAN) to others who are authorised to possess it. SSAN is any substance that contains more than 45% ammonium nitrate unless it is an:

  • explosive
  • aqueous solution.

The agency recommends the use of an accredited dangerous goods consultant to prepare and submit your application.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

  • be at least 21 years old
  • be able to keep any SSAN you possess secure
  • hold a current WA dangerous goods security card (DGSC)
  • demonstrate an understanding of the security and safety aspects associated with the SSAN
  • have developed and can apply a security plan.

If you intend to apply as a partnership or company, you will need to have at least one qualified officer who must:

  • be at least 21 years old
  • be competent to keep any SSAN possessed under the licence secure
  • hold a current DGSC.
