Standard for Safety and Performance of Sulkies - Western Australia

Description

You will need to comply with this standard to design or construct a sulky in a horse race in Western Australia. A sulky is the wheeled cart that the driver sits in during a harness race.

This standard sets out design, manufacturing and testing requirements for sulkies. Those requirements aim to make the sulky sound and safe for drivers and horses in races and prevent the sulky creating an interference or hazard for another driver or horse in the race.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance (if any) that may be required.
