Tobacco Sellers Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to sell a tobacco product. Tobacco products include:

  • cigarettes
  • cigars
  • loose tobacco
  • shisha
  • any other tobacco prepared for human consumption.

You can apply for retail sale, wholesale, or indirect sale licences. An indirect sale is where the seller and the purchaser are not in the same place at the same time and includes sales by telephone, fax, mail order or internet.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you, or in the case of a body corporate, its officers must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be a fit and proper person(s)
  • have not been refused or disqualified from holding a tobacco licence
  • have not had a suspended tobacco licence
  • have not been convicted of an offence against tobacco legislation
  • have not, in the last 10 years, been convicted of an offence involving fraud or dishonesty
  • have no pending charges for fraud or dishonesty.
