Trade Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will need this licence if you operate a business and intend to manufacture, repair, store or deal firearms, firearm parts or ammunition as part of its commercial operations. You may also need it for certain prohibited accessories.

If your business operates from more than one location, you will need to apply for an additional trade licence for each location.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • provide proof of identification
  • be a fit and proper person to hold this licence
  • undertake a Firearm Authority Health Assessment
  • successfully complete a Firearm Safety Training course
  • provide supporting documentation relevant to the reason you intend to licence a firearm
  • provide a serviceability certificate for each firearm you intend to licence.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

You will be required to meet minimum levels of business activity as a condition of your licence.
