You will need to comply with this standard if you are an employer, main contractor or self-employed person and intend to undertake electrostatic spray painting at a workplace.

This standard specifies requirements for the construction and testing of handheld and hand-operated electrostatic paint or powder sprayguns and associated apparatus, which are used to spray paint which may give off flammable gases or vapours, or to spray powders which are liable to give rise to a dust explosion.
