You will need this permit if you intend to light a fire or burn material on a thoroughfare, verge or other public land. A permit will not be issued during certain time periods of high fire risk. Please refer to the Restricted Fire Permit if you intend to light a fire during a period of high fire risk.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible for this licence you must successfully demonstrate that reasonable alternatives do not exist and that the potential for pollution is very low and that the material to be burnt does not include any plastic, rubber, green vegetation waste and the like.
