Video Lottery Terminal Permit - Western Australia


You will require this permit if you intend to operate a video lottery terminal (VLT) for the purpose of fundraising.

A VLT is a gaming machine that allows gamblers to bet on the outcome of a video game. Your permit will stipulate the one game-type (only) that can be played on the VLT. You may have a maximum of 5 VLT's on your premises (your initial application is restricted to two VLTs).

A VLT permit may be issued for fundraising purposes to sporting organisations / clubs, charitable / community organisations and hotel based sporting / community associations.

Your premises must also be approved by the Agency. Please note that VLT's are not permitted in liquor stores or restaurants.
