If you intend to provide government-funded aged care services, you need to register as an Aged Care Provider.
Providers can be registered into one or more of six registration categories. Registration categories group together provider services based on similar types of care, complexity, and risk. The registration categories are:
- home and community services
- assistive technology and home modifications
- advisory and support services
- personal care and care support in the home or community (including respite)
- nursing and transition care
- residential care (including respite).
If you are registering in the residential care category you must seek approval for each residential care home you intend to operate.
Providers are registered for a set period determined by the Commission, after which you will be invited to apply for renewal.
