Course Accreditation for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) - Australian Government

Description

You will be required to apply for course accreditation if you are a registered training organisation (RTO) intending to provide or deliver a VET course. A VET accredited course has been assessed by the Agency as compliant with the Standards for VET Accredited Courses and the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Accreditation ensures that courses are nationally recognised and meet an established industry, enterprise, educational, legislative or community need.

Accreditation must be gained for each course you intend to provide.

Eligibility requirements

For a course to be accredited the course must meet:

  • the Standards for VET Accredited Courses
  • the Australian Qualifications Framework.

In order to provide courses you must first apply to become a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
