Approval of Environment Plan - Australian Government

Description

You will require this approval if you intend to undertake any activity related to the exploration for, or the recovery or transport of petroleum or greenhouse gasses in Commonwealth waters (i.e. Australian waters outside of the state and territory 3 mile boundary).

Please note that for your Environmental Plan to be approved you must already hold an Offshore Project Proposal that authorises the related activities or have approval from the Minister under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act.

Operations must comply with the accepted environment plan. At the end of each period of 5 years a revised environment plan must be submitted to the Regulator.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information.
