You will need this licence if you intend to operate or run a small-scale pop-up bar, event or promotion where alcohol will be sold. The licence authorises you to:
- sell or supply liquor at a temporary pop up bar or event
- sell or supply liquor for tastings, and take-away liquor, at off-site pop-up promotions if you are already a NSW licensed producer
- operate over a maximum period of 12 weeks.
There are three types of licence:
- Pop-up Bar Licence: enables you to sell liquor for consumption on your temporary pop-up premises.
- Pop-up Event Licence: enables you to sell liquor for consumption on your temporary pop-up premises, in connection with an organised event. The sale of liquor must be ancillary to the purpose of the event.
- Pop-up Promotion Licence: enables a current holder of a 'producer or 'wholesaler' licence, who carries on the business of a producer of liquor, to sell or supply their liquor on a temporary pop-up premises.
