Provisional Pistol (Business / Employment) Licence - New South Wales

Description

You must hold this licence if you intend to work as an armed security guard.

For the first six months of the term of the licence, you (the licensee) must not possess or use a pistol unless under the direct supervision of a person who has continuously held a full category H Business / Employment Licence and a Class 1F Security Licence for a period of more than 12 months.

Your application must be made through an approved master licensee. Individual applications without this approval will not be accepted. For the first 6 months, firearm possession / use will only be allowed under supervision.

Please note that if you have previously held a business / employment licence, you may not be subject to these provisional requirements and may be able to apply for a business / employment licence straight away.
