You will need this authority if you intend to drive a public passenger vehicle, other than a ferry. A public passenger vehicle is a bus or other motor vehicle that carries passengers along a road or transitway in return for a fee.
Public passenger vehicle drivers must comply with a number of general obligations specified in the regulations, including but not limited to:
- to not eat or drink in the vehicle
- to ensure vehicles are clean
- to behave in an orderly manner
- to drive vehicles carefully
- to undertake relevant training courses as specified by the agency.
