You will require authorisation from the Agency if you operate a registered club and intend to vary the standard conditions of operation of a club. Available authorisations include the following:
- Non-Restricted Area Authorisation: designates an area or areas within your club premises as non-restricted, allowing individuals under the age of eighteen to enter that area or those areas.
- Junior Members Authorisation: allows members of your club who are under the age of eighteen to access otherwise restricted areas of the club for the purposes of participation in sporting activities or prize-giving ceremonies associated with sporting activities.
- Club Functions Authorisation: allows individuals who are either non-members of your club or under the age of eighteen to attend cultural, education, religious, patriotic, professional, charitable, political, literary, sporting, athletic, industrial or community functions on your club premises.
A registered club is a club that holds a club licence. A club licence authorises you (the licensee) to sell liquor by retail on the licensed premises to a member of your club (or a guest of a member of your club) for consumption on or away from the licensed premises.
Please be aware that each authorisation will be subject to conditions imposed by the Agency and / or the Act.
