Notification of a Nominated Supervisor - South Australia

Description

You will need to notify the agency if you nominate a supervisor for any service providing or intending to provide education and care on a regular basis to children under 13 years of age.

In order to nominate a supervisor you must be an approved provider, or a person with management or control of, an education and care service.

All nominated supervisors must give their written consent to the nomination, which is included in the notification and is also to be kept as part of the service staff records.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this notification, you must:

  • be an approved provider or a person with management or control of an education and care service
  • hold a service approval for the service you intend to nominate the supervisor for.
  • have completed the child protection training requirements
  • hold a current working with vulnerable people check.

Commencement

You will need to lodge the notification at least seven days before the nominated supervisor commences work. However, if that period is not possible, the notification must be lodged no more than 14 days after the nominated supervisor commences work.
