Agricultural Aircraft Operator Licence (AAOL) - Victoria


You will require this licence if you intend to operate a business that provides aerial spraying services or employ pilots to carry out aerial spraying. The activities requiring this licence typically cover aerial spraying of farm chemicals over or around forestry, crops or surrounding lands.

You must comply with all conditions listed on your licence.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • hold a current SpraySafe Accreditation from the Aerial Agricultural Association of Australia, or
  • be assessed by the department within the last three years as operating to an equivalent standard.


Ongoing eligibility requirements

You will be required to keep specified records of all chemical applications for a minimum of two years and to provide specified notifications to landowners. Location and other restrictions may apply.
