Marine Mammal Tour Permits - VIC - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You may need this permit to conduct organised aircraft or boat based tours to see whales, dolphins in the wild and at designated seal colonies.

Permits are available for commercial whale and seal watching tours as well as swimming with whales.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

To be eligible for this permit, you must:

submit an application form
be of good character
comply with Adventure Activity Standards
demonstrate environmental awareness and safety
hold a Certificate of Survey from the Marine Board of Victoria for boats carrying passengers
hold a current public liability lnsurance policy with an insurer approved by Parks Victoria
pay the prescribed fees.
