Stand-by Service Accreditation for Non-Emergency Patient Transport Providers - Victoria

Description

If you are a licensed operator of a non-emergency patient transport service you may apply for accreditation to provide stand-by services at public events. This includes providing staff and vehicles at events to provide stand-by services to participants who suffer unanticipated illness or injury during the event.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this accreditation, you must be operating a non-emergency patient transport company licensed to provide transport for one or more acuity levels.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

It is an ongoing requirement of this approval that you provide relevant records and information as required by the agency. You must ensure that all the following records are accurately maintained:

  • patient care records
  • staff records
  • Quality Assurance Plan records.

Duration

Accreditation remains valid for the period of the non-emergency service patient transport licence held by the person accredited
