To be eligible for this lease, you must:

  • apply using the prescribed application form
  • provide details of the area in which the lease is sought
  • show the area is not commercially viable at the time of application but that it will become viable within the next 15 years
  • provide all required information and documentation to the relevant authority
  • pay the prescribed fees.

Duration

Duration of lease is for 15 years unless otherwise cancelled or suspended, or unless it becomes commercial. It cannot be renewed.
