Aircraft Weight Control Authority - Australian Government

Description

You will need this authorisation if you intend to conduct aircraft weight and balance checks and determine the centre of gravity of each aircraft for the purpose of determining requirements to control the centre of gravity during operation.

This authority will also allow you to approve loading systems. However, the scope of your authority will be limited to the testing which is set out in your application.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this authority you must:

  • be at least 21 years of age (unless otherwise approved)
  • be able to speak, read and write English
  • not suffer from a disability that is likely to affect your technical skill or judgement
  • have witnessed two or more aircraft weighing
  • have the appropriate experience and training for aircraft weight control work
  • pass the prescribed written, oral and / or practical tests.
